Have you ever been frustrated by having to reprint payslips for staff, or manually enter timesheets in each week, or tell employees how much leave they have left?
When you use Xero for payroll, employees can log in and do all of the above. They don't get access to any of your business Xero data, only their own Payroll information.
They can access everything via logging into Xero the same way you do (www.xero.com.au) OR they can download the awesome Xero Me app for both iOS and Andriod
With Single Touch Payroll, it's more important than ever to ensure payroll is completed correctly. This includes ensuring you have up to date leave balances for your employees at all times as well as paying the correct amounts.
Introducing Xero Payroll
How do you set this up for your employees?
It's really easy.
Click on Payroll > Employees > Select everyone and click the button Invite to My Payroll.
This sends an email invitation to each employee in your team. They just have to click the link and set their password. They are then ready to go.
How do your employees use My Payroll?
Once they log in (either via the website or the app) it's a very simple process as they are only presented with 5 options:
Overview (you can only view leave or add a timesheets from here)
My Details (you can only add a photo or edit address etc from here)
Payslips (your only option is to click on the week and press print)
Leave (this is where you process a New Leave Request)
Timesheets (this is where you add your timesheet as an employee)
The best thing you can do for your employees is to send a link to this video. It's got everything your employee can do in My Payroll covered in a step by step guide. We give this to all our new employees as part of their induction pack :)
Let's ensure you are using ALL the features of Xero, letting your employees access info when they want and reducing your admin processing time, ie #banadmin
