Accessing Global Search

In the top right hand of Xero you'll notice that there is a magnifying glass. All you need to do to access global search is click on this link - and simply begin typing!

One thing that many people are unaware of though is you can also click the small drop down to the right of the search box to search specific areas in Xero.

An example is shown below where we search for 7-Eleven as bank transactions.

Once you find what you are looking for - simply click the hyperlink on a result and Xero will take you straight there!

Why Use Global Search?

We recommend using global search because its one of the quickest and easiest ways to review several areas of Xero from the one place.

No more having to click into each section of Xero to find something - simply use the global search functionality by either simply typing what you are looking for, or if you would like to do a more specific search then make sure you use the drop down to specify a subsection.
