Wrap Up of Xerocon

Last week a few of the Growthwise team headed to Sydney for the Annual Xero Conference. It was a jammed packed 3 days with Keynotes, Break Out Sessions and 82 exhibitors!

I was really impressed with some of the new features already in development....

Above you can see a re-designed home page with Cashflow Charts and some awesome business performance information. It's fantastic to see the financial literacy info we teach in L Platers coming to the Dashboard.Here is a sneak peak at some of the new features coming:

  • Batch Deposits! We are really excited about this feature. It means that you can tick off multiple sales invoices at once before the deposit goes into the bank account
  • Mobile App is getting a revamp. You will be able to submit Bills as well as Expense Claims
  • Reports are getting a major overhaul. We will be able to build our own reports with formulas and also have % analysis etc.
  • Files are also getting a major overhaul and you will be able to attach sick leave forms to Employees as an example
  • We will see much tighter integration in the small business eco system. As an example CGU now have a connector to Xero to automatically complete your Workers Comp. The banks are also working on much tighter integration. We may even be able to do a Credit Check on a Supplier straight from Xero!

One of the big things I have noticed over the last few years though is the emergence of the fantastic Add-On Marketplace for Xero. There are some brilliant Industry specific Add-on's as well great for back of house processing. The Add-on's are now all starting to integrate together to form brilliant solutions like Vend + Deputy + Swarm + Xero for retail. You can even just bolt on an online shopping cart.

The Partnerships Xero is making will completely automate small business. With the Add-on Marketplace growing, the work being done with the banking and government sector our dream of #banadmin is much closer!

We had a great time chatting with all of the add-on partners to see what else is out there to help our clients even more.

As usual after the Xero Event we like to run our own baby version in Newcastle so we can show all of our clients and friends some of the new features and revisit the latest updates.

We also like to ensure we are passing on all of our knowledge on shortcuts and tips to ensure you are getting the most out of Xero.

We will also be showing you some demonstrations for Add-ons. Specifically ones that will help in the debt collection process.
