Help : Super isn't calculating
This is always a question we get asked at the beginning of the month.
If you have an employee who earns less than $450 in the 1st payrun of the month Superannuation won't calculate. This is because Superannuation isn't payable until the employee earns more than $450 in a month.
As soon as the employee earns more than $450 in the month the super will correctly calculate.
So if you find Superannuation isn't calculating on an employees payslip, check how much they have earned in the month. If less than $450 you don't have to worry.
Leave Balances
We always get asked questions about keeping leave balances up to date. The easiest way to ensure leave is always kept up to date is to ensure your employees are invited to the Xero Employee portal.
This will allow them to apply for Sick Leave, Annual Leave and Long Service Leave as well as check how much leave they have left.
If the team is in charge of applying for leave in Xero it's easy to ensure everything is kept up to date. It's also easy to ensure you have a record of when people are taking leave in the future.
